I’m Afraid…Dave

October 28, 2008

Ugh, who recorded that?

P.S. I am on four out of five tracks, and #5 is like, the best thing I ever recorded. Thus, I do have lotsa room to make up for.

Kingston Trio

October 26, 2008

Very rarely do I give up on dreams. I mean, I’m as confused as most post-college kids. Do I follow through with my major? Do I try something new? Do I do what will give me money?

Well, that record above, and the recent compilations of theirs I bought, has made me rethink my future.

I wanna make movies, and I love directing. But I also love staying in and fiddling with my ukulele, coming up with short, simple tunes. And, I’ve been wondering if I should go see my city friend, who plays guitar, and we could be the neo-Kingston Trio. Or, as I imagined, the “Downstate Duo”.

I dunno if we’d sing in harmony or not. Or, perhaps what I really mean, I dunno if I’d sing in tune or not…

Sigur Ros > Me

October 21, 2008

It appears my videos are nothing without Sigur Ros.

Ah crap. 10 days until Novemeber. Which means a lot. Specifically, how I did not complete the concept album. But, then again, I do have 10 days…

Oh, and I officially have a cold. I guess biting some part of my tongue twice suggests swelling, so another symptom. Ah, to be mortal.

In Regards To Yesterday

I *heart* directing.

Myth Of Sisyphus

October 15, 2008

I think I know what that’s like…

Why didn’t I give these guys a chance before?

I have The Life Pursuit, which is enjoyable, but kinda overloaded and diverse. This is so focused, and so home made, and so good.

Good thing I changed my ideas on music making vs. movie making. It looks like Me & Ukulele has a new influence…

A Thing Or Two Or Three

October 11, 2008

I haven’t posted in 10 days, and have nothing in my spam/comment queue 😦

I went to the Woodstock Film Festival and saw the new Kevin Smith movie. I’d love it if I weren’t so positive the movie wanted to be the making of Clerks. I also saw, like the best thing ever, here.

I’ve met some new people at work, which I am still trying to get out of. One of them is really nice and sometimes playful with me. But, being that I was so concerned with my birthday, I realized just how bad aging can be. It sure is nice to meet people, but the older I get the less people I can date (well, not really, but you know). 24 is divisible by 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, and 12. Someone 1/2 my age is 12. Someone 11/12th my age is 22. Someone 2/3s my age is 16. So, yeah…

Looks like it’s time for a new category…
